Synerglass-Soft: “With iSpring LMS, we scaled training as our teams and products grew.”

Synerglass with iSpring LMS

Synerglass-Soft is a Belgium-based software company that develops ERP solutions for flat glass processors. The company has a team of around 60–80 people and serves clients across 9 countries.

In this case study, Ruchi Shah, Quality Assurance Coordinator at Synerglass-Soft, shares how her team uses iSpring LMS to bring internal training materials into one place, make onboarding more structured, and track employee progress with less manual follow-up.

Background

Ruchi Shah

Ruchi Shah, Quality Assurance Coordinator

We work in a highly specialised software niche. Our products support the full operational life cycle of flat glass processing companies, from quotation and production planning to delivery and performance monitoring.

This makes employee training quite specific. To work confidently with our product and customers, team members need to understand not only the software itself, but also the logic of glass processing operations and the workflows that our clients rely on every day.

Learning content is created collaboratively. Depending on the topic, our product, quality, and project teams contribute their expertise, so training is based on practical internal knowledge from the people closest to the work.

As Quality Assurance Coordinator, I support this work from the LMS side: adding new training materials, organising and maintaining courses, validating content, and helping to keep the learning experience clear and consistent for employees.

The Challenge: Keeping Onboarding and Internal Training Consistent as the Company Grew

Before iSpring LMS, Synerglass-Soft mostly used familiar formats for training: PowerPoint presentations, shared documents, emails, recorded training sessions, and live knowledge transfer. These formats were easy to create and share, but they required significant involvement from managers and trainers. Employees often needed someone to explain the content, add context, or help them find the right material.

As the company grew and our products became more complex, this approach became harder to manage. Teams kept learning materials in different places, so employees didn’t always know where to find the latest information. Every product or process update meant changing several files, decks, or email instructions, and teams could still end up using outdated information.

Onboarding was another challenge. Different teams and managers sometimes explained the same topics in different ways, which led to variations in how new employees understood our processes, products, and internal standards. At the same time, managers couldn’t see who had completed training, how well employees understood the material, or where they needed additional support.

What had worked when the organisation was smaller became harder to manage at scale. We started noticing that employees were asking the same questions repeatedly, onboarding was taking longer than expected, and training outcomes varied from team to team.

Ruchi Shah

Synerglass-Soft needed a more structured and scalable way to deliver internal training: one place for learning materials, a clearer onboarding experience, and better visibility into progress and knowledge gaps.

The Solution: iSpring LMS

When Synerglass-Soft started looking for a better way to manage internal training, the team compared several learning platforms, including iSpring LMS, Totara Learn, and Adobe Learning Manager.

The selection criteria were practical: ease of use, implementation effort, learner experience, training management, tracking capabilities, cost, and scalability.

Some of the other platforms appeared powerful, but they felt more complex or less suitable for our immediate requirements.

Synerglass-Soft didn’t want a system that required heavy technical support or a long setup period. The team needed a platform that LMS admins could manage day to day and employees could start using without extra explanation.

iSpring LMS stood out as the most practical choice for our needs. It offered a strong balance between functionality and simplicity, allowing us to manage training, assign courses, track learner progress, and support employee development without a complicated setup process.

It gave us the confidence that we could improve our training process efficiently while still leaving room to grow as our learning needs expanded.

An intuitive learning portal for both employees and LMS admins

With iSpring LMS, the team organised learning content into a branded portal, Syner Academy, with a course catalogue that covers different areas of internal knowledge.

iSpring Course Catalog

The catalogue includes training categories such as internal tools, glass industry knowledge, internal training sessions, project management, sales and marketing, and safety. This makes the learning experience easier for employees: they can browse available materials, find the topic they need, and return to the content later.

For LMS admins, the portal also makes the content library easier to maintain. Ruchi and her team can add new materials, organise courses by topic, and keep the catalogue clear as training content grows.

iSpring LMS felt approachable, efficient, and well-suited to our actual working environment. It gave us a practical way to organise, deliver, and manage employee training without making the process feel heavy or overly technical.

Learning paths for structured onboarding and product training

Synerglass-Soft organised related courses into clear learning paths. This is especially useful for onboarding and product training, where employees need to move through several connected topics rather than study separate materials in random order.

For new team members, this structure makes the process easier to follow. They can move through training step by step and return to key materials when they need a refresher. According to Ruchi, this is one of the things employees value most: training feels more accessible and less overwhelming.

A common positive response is that employees feel more confident when they have a clear learning path and know exactly what is expected of them.

Training reports for better visibility into learner progress

iSpring LMS also helps Synerglass-Soft track how employees move through assigned training. Instead of checking progress through emails or direct follow-ups, Ruchi and the team can use LMS reports to see training status in one place.

The main indicators we look at are course completion rates, learner progress, assessment results, and participation levels. These help us understand whether employees are completing the required training and absorbing the key information.

Ruchi Shah

The team also pays attention to how quickly employees finish training, whether the same questions or mistakes come up after the course, and what feedback they receive from employees and managers.

Now, we can monitor training status in one place and identify where additional support or reminders may be needed.

Results

Since adopting iSpring LMS, Synerglass-Soft has improved the way training is organised and delivered. Employees now have easier access to learning materials, while managers have better visibility into who has completed the required training.

The biggest change is that training no longer works mainly as a response to questions or urgent clarification needs. Synerglass-Soft can now prepare learning content in advance, assign it to the right employees, and use training to support onboarding, product updates, internal procedures, and knowledge sharing more consistently.

Previously, training often happened when a need came up or when someone asked for clarification. iSpring LMS has shifted our training approach from being mostly reactive to more planned and intentional.

Ruchi Shah

This has helped the company treat training as an ongoing process rather than a one-time activity. For Ruchi’s team, iSpring LMS has made internal knowledge easier to reuse, maintain, and scale as training needs evolve.

Overall, the biggest benefit is that we now have a more dependable way to share knowledge, support employees, and maintain consistency as our training needs continue to evolve.

Synerglass-Soft also sees iSpring LMS as a foundation for the next stage of its training program. The team plans to build more practical, job-specific training for onboarding, product knowledge, internal workflows, customer handling, and process updates. They also want to create shorter modules that employees can complete quickly and return to when they need a refresher.

Our goal is to make eLearning more useful, easier to maintain, and more closely linked to the skills employees need in their daily work.

Looking ahead: more data-driven and AI-supported training

Synerglass-Soft also plans to make training more data-driven:

By looking at completion rates, assessment results, and learner feedback, we can improve courses based on real usage rather than assumptions.

AI is another area the team wants to explore. Ruchi sees AI as a way to speed up course development.

AI may also play a role in making course development faster and easier. For example, it could help us turn existing documents or process notes into draft training content, create knowledge checks, or suggest improvements to course structure.

Ruchi Shah

This direction fits well with iSpring LMS’s newer AI capabilities. Instead of starting every course from a blank page, the team can upload raw materials, such as documents, process notes, audio, or even a course idea, and get a structured draft with slides, text, activities, and quizzes. This can shorten the path from internal knowledge to ready-to-review training content.

From there, the team can use AI tools to add voiceovers, create avatar-led videos, or localise courses for global delivery. No studio, actors, or complex production tools are required.

For a growing company like Synerglass-Soft, an LMS with AI could make a real difference. As products become more complex and the need for training content grows, the team can create, update, and localise courses faster without adding more production work for managers and subject-matter experts.
