Modules, often around five minutes long, concentrate on a single topic using varied formats like videos, podcasts, games, and assessments. It differs from traditional learning by being concise and self-directed, making it ideal for on-demand, mobile access. Microlearning boosts engagement and retention and supports workplace learning, but it is not suited for broad foundational topics and must be strategically planned, not just cut down from longer courses.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2 id=\"What-Is-Microlearning?\">What is microlearning?<\/h2>\n<p>Microlearning is a skill-based approach to learning that delivers information in small, highly focused chunks. It is the ideal way to find quick answers to specific problems.<\/p>\n<p>There are lots of myths about microlearning, and misconceptions surrounding this topic, but here\u2019s what is definitely special about a microlearning module:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Length:<\/strong> As the name implies, microlearning is fast. A typical module can be completed in about five minutes. This may sound simple, but it often is not. A strategic plan for use and management is important. You must plan for versioning, hosting and management. Who is going to review the content before it is sent to the masses?
